We are one of the largest transplant centers in the nation with over 430 solid-organ transplants a year. Barnes-Jewish Hospital has the only comprehensive transplant center in the region offering heart, heart/lung, lung, double lung, kidney, liver, pancreas islet and bone marrow transplants.
With the continuing growth of BJC Healthcare, we found ourselves in the forefront of a billion dollar expansion which had us relocating in less than 9 months. Before we could start our relocation, we were informed there would be no space designated for paper records. We had over 20 full shelving units and numerous medical record offices that would need to be converted over to electronic images.
