Michael Steinmann has purchased HITS Scanning Solutions, a document management and conversion company, for an undisclosed price and announced a facility move.
The company was founded in 1994 by Peter Gallagher as a microfilm business before adding paper conversion services.
Steinmann, a HITS employee since 2001, said he is investing $1.5 million into the company for the move and technology upgrades. The new facility, located at 611 Lambert Point in Hazelwood, will expand the company’s record storage space by 40 percent.
